The onsite bar offers a nice touch for relaxation after a day of adventure, and there’s secure bike storage for those cycling through the area. It’s also conveniently located near excellent local cycling routes, making it a solid choice for biking enthusiasts.
The plumbing problems led to a lack of hot water for showers during my stay. The showers themselves are on the small side, and the water pressure leaves much to be desired. There was also plenty of noise from the nearby road which, while not a dealbreaker, could bother light sleepers. The Wi-Fi was out for a while due to infrastructure issues, which was frustrating for anyone needing to stay connected. Lastly, the limited parking space might leave you scrambling for a spot if you arrive later.

I absolutely loved the delicious breakfast that was freshly made each morning—what a great way to start the day! Plus, the provision of complimentary coffee, tea, and biscuits in my room added that little luxury that made my stay unforgettable.

I loved the genuine warmth of the staff, who consistently made me feel at home. Breakfast was a highlight, particularly the fabulous porridge that Linda prepared just for me every morning, along with the scrumptious Sunday roast with crispy roast potatoes.
A bit warm at night.

Crisp salads were a refreshing highlight during meals, adding to a cozy dining atmosphere. While the room felt a bit cramped, it was clean, which is important for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi was out due to an infrastructure issue, making it tough to stay connected. The bathroom showed signs of wear, with some peeling wallpaper, but it was manageable for the duration of the trip.
